Pokemon Black/White - N's Farewell
Pokemon Black/White OST - N's Farewell/Sayonara
Composed by: Shota Kageyama/Go Ichinose/Junichi Masuda/Hitomi Sato/Minako Adachi
This song gets me. Every. Single. Time. Just listening to it makes me all teary-eyed and heartbroken, especially when I think of the scene in the game that this song was played to.
Black/White just shows how far Pokemon has evolved as a series. The Red/Blue/Yellow/Green era was amazing in its own right. Pokemon and animation just got better and better with each successive generation. And now, five generations of Pokemon later, the story finally has substantial emotional depth to it.
I am so, so proud for some weird reason.
I love N. He didn't have to go. He really didn't. D: But he's a good-natured person. He and Touko (as the female version of our character is apparently christened O_O) should have stayed together. Explored Unova together. N and Touko, Reshiram and Zekrom.
I can just... imagine... the heart-wrenching scene... where Reshiram folds its wings, embracing her as she reaches out, tears spilling from her eyes, and cries, "N!" while he simply gives her the most bittersweet smile ever as Zekrom slowly flies into the setting sun, each massive wing beat taking him further, and further, away from her... and maybe, just maybe, before he fades into the horizon, she hears him; his innocent, loving voice carries to her on the wind:
"Thank you... for everything. Farewell."
OH IT'S SO SAD, I THINK I JUST MADE MYSELF ALL WEEPY. ;-;
I'm practically addicted to perfecting this song now; it's a lot harder to perfect than it actually sounds. Simple notes and chords, but a few dangerous changes in key/flats every now and then. Plus, gotta figure out an ending. It's so, so, so beautiful; the only scene it played in was so much more beautiful. ;-;
And THIS. THIS PICTURE. BRB CRYING FOREVER ;-;
