I wanna become miso! Yey!

Oh man. Thanks to the translation, I can't ever listen to Oblivious' beginning the same way ever again. Not ever. Lol.

Kalafina radio 27.07.10
- A listener asked them what language is used in the choruses (which is obviously the infamous Kajiurago lol) XDDDD;;
- This listener thought that the kajiurago lyrics in the beginning of oblivious is: ミソニナリタイイェイウソマジデスカ ⇒⇒ 味噌に成りたいイェイ! うそ! まじですか?! (I wanna become miso, yey! No way! Seriously?!) XDDDD;;
As translated on Black Snow soup.

Mega LOL.

On a side note, I happened to get into the same carriage as Raina & Kai Lin lol. Haven't seen Kai Lin in ages! He dyed his hair lol! And Raina, well, was hungry... :3

It's so funny, how you just happen to see the people you least expect to, in the weirdest places.

Now, off to learn Sprinter.

And this is my lappy's desktop.

I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. It's nothing overtly difficult since I'm still playing around with CS4, lol. All I did was crop one image & blend four different pictures together. Oh, and tweak the effects a little, I guess.

I just had to do a wallpaper after Kar Men did one! Haven't done a wallpaper in a while. Not to mention, since I absolutely love P3P (pity that my search for P3P images resulted in my knowing the ending before I finished the game). The ending will make me cry, I just know it. :(

P3P's male protagonist is the only non-customizable (excluding the name) game character that I've fallen head over heels for. He's just plain cool, calm, and awesome.

His female counterpart is equally sunny and awesome. Darn it. I could play this over and over and not get bored.

Now, next up shall be a P3P blogskin. I'm just gonna wait for the inspiration to come! :D

Ah-yiiiiiiiiii~

Now that it's over and done with, I gotta tackle projects...

I repeat, whoever said poly life was slack needs to shoot himself. Now. It is everything but slack. Actually maybe it's because I piled things on myself to do, lol. Or I might just be thinking too much about every project (but then the class standards are high! We can't just do a basic ppt slide and expect to get away with it, can we? X_X).

There are soooooo many better singers out there, that I'm half-convinced we got in only because we were the only rap/song item. In fact it felt like I was the worst singer among all the singers who performed today. O_o Or does every singer feel that way (somehow I doubt it)? Lol.

Oh well. That doesn't mean I'm gonna drop singing completely... as much as it might sound good, I know I can never do that. I'm just gonna keep singing, and maybe over the years... who knows? I might finally be able to match up to the rest of them.

And if not, well, that's okay. As long as I can hold my own in karaoke, I suppose! :D

Note: title taken from the Trololo song. It's in my head, it's in my head! Argh! Ha!

The world's ending...

Or so it seems that way to me. Lol.

Figures... the last time I entered a singing competition, I was ready to back out as soon as my friend & I got through the auditions. For some reason, auditions are incredibly fun to me, but if I do get through I'm like OMG NO! I WANT OUT! (lol wut)

... Sigh. Though, if I believe we got through for a reason, then I gotta believe that on that day it'll be God doing His thing through me rather than me doing it through myself.

... But maybe it's because I feel like this doesn't suit my style, though I love the idea of singing along to a rap. It's really fun and I love everything about it, but there's always this little thought that goes, "you know what? This isn't your style." I suppose I did know it from the start, given how my voice sounds like and all, but I was willing to give it a shot. I'm surprised because I enjoyed it.

Even if it isn't my style.

I don't regret auditioning, but I guess I'm just bloody nervous about going out of my comfort zone.

And I can't back out anyway, argh! Lol! Nono, I won't back out! It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Even if I don't know how to move in front of a standing mike, damnit. I'm just gonna groove.

Oh, that audition I went through all those years ago? My friend & I went as far as the finals... and it was one heaven of a harrowing experience, seriously. While it was enjoyable, I sure don't want to repeat it again.

Once this is over, I think I'll stick to choir for now. Lol.

Reshiki Hiwa Historia ep9 insert theme

Storia
Music: Yuki Kajiura
Lyrics: Yuki Kajiura
Arrangement: Yuki Kajiura
Vocals: Kalafina

In the secrecy of darness
I reached for your hand
A ballad from ancient times
As though it is repeating, spins
Romance of life

I always want to sing about you
Fill the sad night with warmth
Find love

The daisies bloomed
The white moon shone
With your whisper,
A storia of eternity begins

It sank into the water
A nostalgic tale of love
From the centre of light and shadows
Belovedness is born
Return...

I gazed into your eyes
In those arms

A lover's whispers
A zither of stardust
A ballad from ancient times
Fills the fountain
The wind blows West

I want to sing a kind song with you
May's moon is now here
Because a love song resonates
My cold chest is filled with warmth
Let us speak of a storia of love

P3P's story is impressive!

Can't wait to try the guy's playthrough for P3P. I'm sure it'll be a pretty different experience, heh.

Don't ask me why, but the more I play P3P, the more I feel like this type of storytelling is the kind of job I should aim to get into.

That is, writing for games.

I love it, the whole idea of being able to tell a story through the player's character, whom the player controls & grows. Somehow it excites me even more than writing novels or scripts for TV.

Being able to tug at the player's heartstrings through the turn of events (speaking of that, I was not expecting that to happen in P3P. Screw it! He didn't have to die! *cries*); being able to keep them hooked to know what happens next even if the gameplay isn't exactly groundbreaking, which was what happened to me for DA & Oblivion.

'sides, half my ideas seem more suited for games, imo. I thought up of a certain concept some time ago, and I'd wanted to write into a novel. But as I worked on it I realized that it would work better as a game. It really would.

The same goes for a number of my ideas. Not that I can't turn them into novels; DA has its prequels and Oblivion apparently has a few novels, too - but the entire plot just feels like it's for a game. Meh.

Problem here is, I guess the gaming industry isn't so easy to break into if you're aiming to write stories for games (and not the programming). Not to mention SG literally has no gaming scene at all. Not that I know of. No groundbreaking RPGs here; people, c'mon! Haha.

But hey, what's impossible with man is possible with God! Right! From now on, my goal is to enter the gaming industry as a writer and write stories through games! :D

Eh, for now, anyway. I've still got 2 and a half years to decide which area of writing I should branch into... (:

More songs to learn?!

So we met to do WMP today, and when we were done with like 1/3 of it we started doing crap.

And as a result of doing crap, I now have another 5 songs added to my constantly-expanding list of songs to learn (argh!). Haha. But eh, learning the song isn't quite hard; and learning the parts is fun... memorizing the lyrics so I can sing as and when I want to, though, is a different story all together.

I learned something particularly interesting today.

But I've decided that, even though it may not be easy, I won't let myself slide out of His love.

We chose to do this, and He allowed us in. It's a privilege, not a task. And feelings are just that: feelings. Nothing more, nothing less. You may not be able to choose how you feel, but you can choose how you react to it.

And so I've made my choice.

It won't change. (:

Air Gear OVA

It's coming! Finally! The epic battle between Ikki and Ringo, animated at last! And I finally get to see how the Sonia Road's infinity atmosphere looks like. Can't wait! :D

Plus, mum let me pre-order the coming Kalafina single! Yaaaaaaaaay I can't wait till Sep 15! :3

Air Gear OVA releases somewhere around there too, yes? Hooray!

EDIT:

Certain notes of Hikaru's parts for Hikari no Senritsu's chorus is friggin' high... it's at the edge of my vocal range. I can hit it, but the words come out all joined together, haha. It's like what Wendy said: if it's so high that you find yourself screeching, scrap the pronunciation and focus on hitting the note. LOL.

And that tactic works. For harmony, that is... can't imagine anyone scrapping pronunciation for the main melody.

At any rate, I somehow managed to bite my tongue while practicing Hikaru's parts. Meh.

And JC & I somehow managed to pass the audition. O_o I never thought it'd happen... I did want to pass, but now that we're in I'm like JESUS I'M NOT READY FOR THIS! CAN I BACK OUT? NO? OH NOEZ HELP ME!

But then it struck me: when is anyone ever truly ready for the stage anyway?

So I'm just gonna whack this alongside JC and believe God allowed us this opportunity for a reason.

On top of learning harmonies & preparing for OM - more projects, more school stuff to do.

Boy, I've never been so busy in my whole life I think. Even mugging for O's wasn't as intense as this. But eh, it's mostly things I'm passionate about, so... yes, however intense, it's bearable, and I'll do it, no matter how much I loathe the idea of spending a lovely weekend doing WMP...

I want out!

I should really start multitasking while I play P3P.

I could learn Hikaru's parts for Seventh Heaven and Sprinter (this one's been on hold for damn long 'cos I still can't distinguish between Maya's and her parts! *bashes speakers*), & practice her parts for Hikari no Senritsu, Storia, Progressive & Fairytale while playing P3P, lol. And then I could learn more of Kalafina's songs, like Sapphire & Serenato. Multitasking saves time, haha.

Except some days, you just don't feel like giving it your all. And when that happens I'd rather not sing at all...

... But I'm still eagerly hoping to do a Kalafina cover with Peipei & someone else if possible, haha.

Cleaning up the DT paper now. I can safely say I'll be overjoyed if I can pass that module. Admittedly it isn't good (well, when you've tortured Google & Wikipedia for answers and found none, there's precious little you can write off the top of your head without it being assumptions), but I'm counting on God's grace to let me pass. I don't wanna fail; deconstructing TV just isn't my thing.

It's just one of those things where you have no idea whether you're actually hitting it on the nail or not. It's one of those things you just do, and then cross your fingers and hope you've nailed everything right 'cos you've no inkling of how to ensure that happens. For me, at any rate. Really.

And I'm only blogging now because I'm debating whether to send the DT CA in as it is or keep it until it's 1 hour before the deadline and send it.

I suppose if I keep it, I can do more last minute changes to it.

But then it'd be keeping an unnecessary burden with me until 4pm, since I doubt I'll change anything. Researching for it has literally made me allergic to CSI. I want nothing to do with that TV series anymore!

Not that I don't like it or anything. The NY episode our lecturer showed us was actually quite nice. But you know what they say: familiarity breeds contempt.

Meh, I think I'll just learn my parts later.

A night in a haunted house of sorts

Yes, it was a dream, but.

Words in italics are just there to facilitate the flow since most dreams are random and unconnected.

-----------

I dreamed Kar Men & I were spending a night in some random haunted house. We were sitting in this dark, shadowy room and Kar Men was holding up a fat stick with a chibi Chinese man's head stuck on it. He looked eerily like the man who sometimes goes to pester the lion during a lion dance.

She was telling me a ghost story and I was like, "don't scare me... really ah?" And she was happily waving the stick around like nobody's business (LOL KAR MEN!). I looked behind her; the shadows looked ominous...

(Random events happened)

We met a guy slightly older than ourselves, wearing a baseball cap and a jacket. He was holding some object, probably a helmet or something (can't remember), and he was all, "I found it! At last!"

(A conversation I vaguely remember happened, then more random events)

Kar Men & I (guy vanished to who knows where) came to a corridor, where we saw a little blond boy, anime-style. The corridor had falling mirrors (LOL WUT)!

The boy stood alongside us, watching the mirrors crash to the ground one by one. It seemed like he was seeing something - or someone - in the mirrors before they fell. Then suddenly he ran into the nearest mirror as it shattered, as if trying to embrace the mirror. We realized the shards on the ground were bloody, but it wasn't the boy's blood that stained them.

The little boy raised his arms sadly and said, "he's not here anymore... he was here when the mirror fell."

(This whole scene was in anime-style)

(More random events happened)

We (somehow) got out of the house. The guy we met, who was holding that helmet-thing, had died. Apparently we'd gotten to know him in the house, because I came to a lake, where the helmet-thing was floating along with a flower, and I lit a candle, laid it on a paper, and thought about him as I watched the three objects float away together.

Then mum woke me up and I realized I'd overslept by 5 mins. LOL.

---------

We've been editing too many shots for VC, I think. I kind of saw several scenes through the "eyes" of a camera, rather than from a 1st person POV. But it was an entertaining dream! I wouldn't mind dreaming that again. It felt like it told a coherent story, but I can't remember. It just feels like it was a story by itself.

But usually my dreams don't recur. That's sad. :(

Having school in the morning kills dreams. :(

Random Drabbles

After listening to storia for at least a hundred times, I'm still learning new things about Hikaru's parts. Oh man. -.-"

I wanna try a cover! It'll be damn fun. But oh well. Still looking for people. And 'sides, I still can't hold notes as long as they can.

Darkest Mercy's cover has been released - I love it! It's come back full circle to Wicked Lovely's cover, but with Donia holding the flower instead! :D Her covers are just amazing. I got Ink Exchange only because the cover looked damn awesome (now you know. Lol.). And I suppose it's one of those buys I've never regretted. XD

Now, waiting to get my fingers on Persona 3... it's finally out finally out finally out! Hooray!

1, 500 words?!

I have absolutely no idea how I can write out the entire hero's journey in 1, 500 words. Honestly. I don't even know how the plot should flow. All I do know is that I have the ending perfectly planned out (lol wut) and I need to find a way to make the beginning flow into the middle and the middle flow into the planned ending.

Characters tell the story, but Yvaine is being difficult.

I think I'm going to write out her death in a separate file just to please myself.

Oh, the worst thing is that I just had another flash of inspiration some time ago, which is way simpler & better than the idea I submitted for CA1. But alas, you have to use the characters & world from CA1 for CA10! Sigh.

I have a feeling I can get a decent grade with this new idea, but now that I'm stuck with what I wrote for CA1, I just gotta find a way to make the old one work.

Awww but I want to work on the new idea! :(

Churning it out

Hmm. I'd completely forgotten about our CSM homework until Kar Men reminded me about it today. So I thought about it on the way home with a half-fried brain (while playing psp & listening to Kalafina songs. Multitasking ftw!), and here's what I've got for my decalogue. It's subject to change, I suppose, but it's accurate at the time of posting.

Not in order of merit
1. God loves me. Like crazy.
2. Family always comes first (sorry, darlings. I love you still, but. :3).
3. I tend to value vocal power/harmonizing above impressive instrumentals/catchy tunes in songs.
4. I believe most writers, if not all, are weird/crazy on some level.*
5. Whatever I accomplish is by God's unmerited grace & favour, not by my effort.
6. I believe happiness is a choice.
7. I believe stuff toys are therapeutic on some level & I love them.
8. I believe the English language is beautiful & one of my pet peeves is reading works that display blatant ignorance of its beauty.
9. I believe this world is screwed, but I'm still gonna make the best of my life here.
10. I love Kalafina! -insert rambling here- I believe they'll soar.**

* - Just look at the "you know you are a writer when..." list if you have it. I lol'ed so hard. And just think about all your friends who're made of writing stuff. Yes. We're weird. And I like it. Well, maybe you're not, but hey, everyone's free to have their own opinion about themselves. :3

** - Lol can this be part of a decalogue? XD

... Honestly? I don't know why it's so long. Can a decalogue's points (or whatever floats your boat) be long?

I guess they can. She never did gave us a word limit after all. Hehe.

Happy Valentine's Day to me, 1 year in advance

Darkest Mercy's flap cover has me squealing my head off and wishing to heaven Feb 2011 rolls by quickly.

Not to mention a supposed Dragon Age: Origins sequel has been slated for release in that month too.

Ahh. If that's true, I'll have a wonderful Valentine's Day next year with DA's sequel & Darkest Mercy. Lol. Who cares about finding your dream date when you've got an awesome RPG to play and an awesome book to read?

BGR love pales in comparison to the love of stories. When stories are your girlfriend/boyfriend, you'll never be bored. (:

Oh well, look! That's just quirky me talking.

When silence falls

I need a 24-hour 'holiday'.

I need a day where I can just laze around at home, read, rot, game a bit, reflect, share things with God, and seriously do nothing productive for 24 hours.

I need a day where it's just me, myself and I (and God I suppose) in my room, with no one else at home, singing songs to myself and doing the do-only-when-you're-alone-at-home kind of stuff.

Maybe I'm just weird, or different, but I can't take being constantly around people. It's draining. It makes me super irritated. It annoys me to no end when I don't have time by myself to gather my thoughts, iron out kinks and stuff.

It's frustrating to be around people all the time because they break your train of thought. They point out irrelevant things. And they do it all unknowingly. It's not that I blame them, or that I don't need interaction. I still do, but for heaven's sake - moderation please?

I can't live without my quiet time, damnit!

I mean, I still need friends and stuff, but I have not been alone at home for what feels like forever. It's frustrating. I have so many things I want to do - but that I wouldn't do in the presence of others, even if they're family. There's a part of my life nobody ever sees or will ever know - the things I do at home, alone.

And best of all? I enjoy it. These solitary times. In this world it's hard to disconnect completely. To be able to do so, albeit for just an hour or two - is a gift.

I hate it when someone's there jabbering away at me from 8am in the morning to 10pm in the night. That was one particular aspect I wasn't quite happy about at one certain event.

I like silence. It's deafening at times, yes, but I appreciate it. Solitary times help you put into perspective your friendships and relationships. It makes you realize just how important they are. It's the solitary times that can really grow you in terms of maturity.

But oh well. There's more interaction coming up. I won't ever hate interaction, but too much interaction easily annoys me.

Oh well. I guess I'll just go hug Floppy and squish Zippy later. Stuff toys are just sooooo adorable. They can't help but make you smile! (:
