Choosing is difficult.

Astro-navigation sounds extremely interesting, though I hate the mode of assessment (examination? EXAMINATION? I haven't taken a single exam/studied since Sept 2009!)

But it'll be totally useless in real life. ._." Unless I get lost in a boat at sea or something, which is extremely unlikely to happen. ._."

Or maybe not, lol. I could probably use the knowledge of solar and lunar eclipses & tidal movements for a story. Who knows man. I'm more worried about how interested I will be after the first few weeks of lessons, because I'm not that big on studying time/calendars/seasons (if we're studying the concept/perception/origins of those, I will be, but this might be the practical side, so meh.).

Genes & You sounds decent. And the mode of assessment consists of two quizzes! (Quizzes? SIGN ME ON MAN; NO PROJECTS EITHER? O_O)

Psychology & Counselling... well, I just don't like the mode of assessment, LOL. But if push comes to shove I'll go for this. Hohum.

I wanted game design, but figured I'd better not since I can't draw for nuts. Whatever will I do for storyboarding? Draw stick figures? I'll probably fail it big time. ._." 'sides, I've convinced myself that having yet another module that demands creativity on top of all the creativity I'll need for dtvm modules is baaaaaaad.

i-VISION doesn't sound so bad, but it'll probably be a last resort. The mode of assessment sounds decent, though. I'm quite happy as long as the module doesn't mention the word "examinations" in the context of studying. Lol. Class tests are fine. They don't sound so severe. XD

'nuff said. I'll keep thinking until I make up my mind. ._." Sometimes I hate my occasional peculiarity & fussiness. ._." I'm just being niao. XD

Pandora Hearts ep 25 insert song

Everytime you kissed me
Composed by: Yuki Kajiura
Arranged by: Yuki Kajiura
Vocals: Emily Bidinger, FictionJunction WAKANA

Everytime you kissed me,
I trembled like a child.
Gathering the roses,
We sang for the hope.
Your very voice is in my heartbeat,
Sweeter than my dream.
We were there in everlasting bloom.

Roses die,
The secret is inside the pain.
Winds are high up on the hill,
I cannot hear you,
Come and hold me close,
I’m shivering, cold, in the heart of rain.
Darkness falls, I’m calling for the dawn.

Silver dishes for the memories for the days gone by.
Singing for the promises,
Tomorrow may bring.
I harbour all the old affection,
Roses of the past,
Darkness falls, and summer will be gone...

Joys of the daylight;
Shadows of the starlight.
Everything was sweet by your side, my love.
Ruby tears have come to me for your last words,
I’m here just singing my song of woe,
Waiting for you, my love

[samia mia ii sama tia
disama ia mafia
mistia ii samantia
kastiria ira imenitara]

[morta asore
amorita midora
arta karia imifita midola]

Now let my happiness sing inside my dream...

Everytime you kissed me,
My heart was in such pain.
Gathering the roses,
We sang of the grief.
Your very voice is in my heartbeat,
Sweeter than despair.
We were there, in everlasting bloom

Underneath the stars,
Shaded by the flowers.
Kiss me in the summer day gloom, my love,
You are all my pleasure, my hope and my song.
I will be here dreaming in the past,
Until you come;
Until we close our eyes.

Awww. The lyrics is so sweet, and poetic. I added punctuation for fun, lol. :D I've always wondered if Melody/Lacie had any lyrics to it. Just didn't realize it was under a different name until a while ago, when I was leafing through FictionJunction's live music out of boredom. ._."

While I nosebleed over Kalafina (ahem, Hikaru & Wakana! Keiko is awesome too :D), I absolutely adore Yuki Kajiura's music, and style. :3 I just don't follow FictionJunction because they have too many vocalists (I'll probably die trying to follow them all). But they're both her projects, so I love them all!

Anyway, Kalafina has a special place in my heart because they were the ones who pulled off Seventh Heaven. Which is the most beautiful ballad ever, imo. Kagayaku comes close, but it's not quite there. It didn't have the build-up-to-the-climax-and-whack! melody + harmony that Seventh Heaven had, which made it so amazing. But Kagayaku is still nice to listen to. The tune kinda sticks in your head after a while.

Oh well, I shall go back to PSP2 now. Soon. Meh. :D

My CD came, but admin work is boring! X_X

Work is boring. Staying at home is also boring... but not so boring. Naturally I got the more boring option, because I was bored of staying at home, which was not so boring, but was still boring, and now I'm even more bored than I was when I was bored of staying at home. (I hope I confused at least one person out there with this, LOL.)

Why am I not surprised. D:

It's not like I expected the office to be super cheery and relaxed. It's just... does it have to be that uptight? I don't even feel like it's possible to check an sms in the middle of work there, lol. And not to mention, admin work is boring. I don't think I'll ever take an admin job.

Unless I'm really desperate.

But I seriously doubt I'll ever be that desperate, seeing as my God is the creator of the universe. He'll definitely give me a job I can like, not a job that will bore me out of my mind and drive me nuts with the increasing urge to scream/shout/squeak, just to see the other workers' reactions. XD

Oh well, at least the pay is decent, I'll give it that. And it's not all bad, it was fun reading through all the stupid things people claim insurance for. Except that I couldn't share the joke with someone since the office was so quiet you could hear the faint whirring of the machines there. And laughing would be like... an explosion along an abandoned walkway, in terms of volume.

On a brighter note, MY CD FINALLY ARRIVED! Straight from Japan! (Might've stayed a few nights over in HK though. Whatever, it's here!) *nosebleeds at PV*

Kagayaku's instrumental is AWESOME. If I could I'd plonk it as a blog song. Except no one's uploaded it, I guess. D: WELL WHY NOT. The instrumental (almost) rivals the actual track (with vocals) in terms of awesomeness. Almost, because Kalafina is awesome as always. :D Though I always wonder why Hikaru got the second part. It sounds a little high for her, lol. Or it might just be me. O_o" IT'S OKAY. IT'S STILL AWESOME. I'LL STILL NOSEBLEED OVER THE PV. :D

Now, did I mention admin work is boring? XD

Oh well. I shall do it for the sake of... doing it. O_o Lol. :D

MIKA D:

JP HMV released the price for the Kalafina live DVD.

... 5, 565 yen?

... 86 frickin' bucks in SGD?!

My worst fears have come true. D: It's about the same price as the FJ live dvd. D: Hmm, I think I should start announcing that the priority item on my Christmas wishlist is the Kalafina dvd, hahaha. D: Or hopefully, play-asia offers a discount for it again. :D

Sigh. Anyway. After spending a good bit of time repeating the entire Sun King fight thousands and thousands of times, I finally beat PSP2's last boss (which was such a pain in the neck, what with his epic spam shooting and unavoidable bomb of light). And I was overjoyed, to say the least, so I went to remodel & redecorate my beast's room as a reward. Was still happy 'cos I set the music to Living Universe, haha. Felt a bit sad for Mika (I liked her. Annoying Emilia was the best thing ever, but since it counts towards the normal/true ending, I didn't do it often. Working towards the true ending now D:). But still happy, lol.

Until I did a free mission where the mobs were only (roughly) 3 levels above me and got trashed thrice. ._."

So much for not bothering with perfect blocks & dodges...

Or maybe I just favour double sabers too much, even though they're not the best damage dealers. Spears do tons more damage, and twin sabers have a faster recovery time. But I like double sabers! They hit a large area! D: Even if they lag quite a bit after using photon arts, lol.

So, I'll give up on my beast hunter for a while (bye bye nanoblast), and try out a human vanguard for the sake of mirage blasting. Hmm... maybe I should try crossbows and whips too...

Kuroshitsuji episode 8 insert song & ending theme

In the Silence of the Shining Sky
Composed by: Yuki Kajiura
Arranged by: Yuki Kajiura
Vocals: Kalafina

Praise your cold tears
When time is up
You’ll search for the light
And open up the darkness, right?

The scarlet singing voice
Will dye your chest
Like a melody that you eternally yearn for
Yet it’s quick to scatter

In the silence of the shining sky
There exists my garden
Someday, you’ll make your way
To the far side of the shore

(ama soltia mari miltia

The darkness of the night protecting the moon
Whispers a lullaby
Until the eyes of a child who doesn’t cry
Are moistened by a dream

Goodbye
Because I can’t ever meet you again
As if the night gouges my chest
Lovingly and madly

In the silence of the shining sky
There exists your home
Across the darkness where the moon sets
You’ll return to your origin

On a narrow path

The translation is out! :D *does a little wiggly dance with imaginary pom-poms*

I love the lyrics. Dark, yet hopeful; lonely, yet beautiful. Ohohoho. I'd love to dissect this as I would a poem, but it's been almost a year since I last broke down any poem/prose (there goes another of my skills from sec sch, LOL. Almost everything I learned in those four years is redundant for this course man), so I'll pass. Lol.

Still waiting for my single to arrive. Postmen don't work on weekends! I just learned that! Omg! I hope it comes tomorrow so I can listen to the instrumental, which would definitely sound awesome. And I haven't bothered to look for Adore's track because it'll be on the CD, but it's not here yet!

Mum says it'll take a week. LOL I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG. Unless this is one of my washpots again... D:

Phantasy Star Portable 2 opening theme

Living Universe
Composed by: Hideaki Kobayaashi
Arranged by: Hideaki Kobayashi, Tadashi Ohtsubo
Performed by: Aimee Blackschleger, Tahirih Walker
Lyrics: runblebee

Wish (upon a star) hope to (be again),
The one you find when all is done and through...

If all made a wish to save
this star would it be in vain?

So much it holds, too dear to part
Many ways see the light of answers

(For all was, once, just taken away
that one hope, all disappeared

So, none can break, nor brittle my heart
no, never again, until the end...)

Phantasy stars in universe, they shine on
(unravel the dark to light the world,)

(they shine on)
For all of the hearts who gave
Their all
(know that it shines because of you,)

(they shine on)
Phantasy stars in universe, they light up
(shooting to light the wishes true,)

(they light up)
Many a star in universe,

But it’s only the one with you,
that I can see.

Times have a way to stray, a way to swoon what is sane (?!)
There is much to save if love has a part
If to be, a flower, I'll be. (?!)

When all had gone, it had seemed as end,
But somehow you reappeared.

When nothing breathes a hope of a chance
Still, even till then, until the end...

Phantasy stars in universe,
(they shine on)
Filling the sky with lights afloat,
(they shine on)

Many a fray to keep (a glow)
Only to stand against it all.
(they shine on)

Phantasy stars in universe
(they light up)
Fighting to shine in eyes of you
(they light on)

Many a star in universe,
Still whenever we are apart,
You will find me.

For all was, once, taken away (away)
Disappeared
Without the hope I hold, I've nothing to be
May fain for sorrow (?!)

When all had gone, it seemed the end,
But somehow you reappeared,
Without a heart, with nothing at all,
So make it love to save us all

Phantasy stars in universe, they shine on
(unravel the dark to light the world,)

(they shine on)
For all of the hearts who gave
Their all
(know that it shines because of you,)

(they shine on)
Phantasy stars in universe, they light up
(shooting to light the wishes true,)

(they light up)
Many a star in universe,
Still we'll never be worlds apart

Phantasy Stars in universe,
It's always the one with you,
That I ever see.

Second half (non-opening parts) was written by ear, so there might be errors.
------------------

The lyrics is grammatically terrifying at some parts, hahaha, never mind about cheesiness. I had a good laugh over the lyrics. And I suspect they tried to squeeze too many english words into certain lines (so it failed epically at grammar but we get the point, lol.). I couldn't resist putting ?! behind lines I didn't get. Or rather, got, but laughed over the dictions/phrasing.

Cheesy or no, I bolded (there's no such word, but gah who cares!) the few lines that stood out when I first heard the song. Especially the last two lines of both choruses. So sweet! :D

Seems like there are a few diamonds in that pile of words!

Well, and the tune isn't bad. It kinda grows on you after a while. At least that's what happened to me, thanks to my constant restarting because I couldn't decide between human and beast for a first character (nanoblast ftw!).

It grew on me! D: And suddenly I didn't mind the cheesy lyrics... well, I do mind, actually.

Just a little. D:

It's still a decent opening song, unlike Mana Khemia's opening. :D

LIVE DVD :D

Kalafina live DVD, containing Kajiura Produce 3rd Anniversary LIVE TOUR Kalafina LIVE 2010 “Red Moon” of June 12, 2010 (JCB Hall).

I WANT. D: I hope it's not as expensive as the FJ live's. But if they're gonna have a documentary on the whole thing, the price might just go... oh man, never mind that, I want! D: Their first actual live DVD! :D And they practically sing flawlessly during lives. Yay.

Hmm, still thinking if I should queue to see May'n & Scandal for Anisong... of course, I wish Kalafina was in the lineup, but they aren't (still need to get over that, haha). At least May'n is returning, though. Wonder if she'll sing Lion again? :D

Wonder if Scandal will bother to perform Star Ocean's opening theme START too? I guess not, huh, since this is AFA? @_@

Elmo, & a new girl :D

Surprisingly, I reached chapter 5 of my little story. Normally I don't get beyond chapter 1 or 2 (LOL), so I consider that an improvement, yes. It also proves that I've at least picked up something in 6 months of learning techniques and stuff, lol. I just wonder if my protagonist might seem annoying to some. Since that's my pet peeve, it's been bugging me, lol.

After all, I'm not in control anymore (at least not in full control). She took the story in a completely different direction. Right from the beginning, too! Now I can't rely on my (unfinished) plot outline anymore because it's irrelevant. Talk about letting characters take the reins man. LOL. At least the logline still is. But of course.

And yay, I finally found the Elmo stuff toy I've been searching high and low for! Though it was a tad bit expensive. Well, it's okay! It'll be here with me for the next 20 years and more, so that's fine and dandy. :D

Aww, I really, really, really hope this story doesn't end up in the dumps again. X_X" I kind of like the setting and everything, but if it can't come to a proper conclusion... noooo, I will believe I'll get the inspiration to see this story through till the end in Jesus' name! No matter what!

Ahem. Kalafina's new single is shipping! I got the invoice! I can't wait :D If it's coming by air, does that mean it'll be here tomorrow? *waits expectantly* :D :D :D

Should I do my Christmas wishlist soon? XD

August US game sales slide 'shocking'

Lol. Poor analysts. =/ Either they have this misconception that all gamers have $10000000000000000000 in their coffers to spend, or they mistakenly believe that all games are decent enough to be bought.

Anyway. I don't even remember any notable game being released in August (P3P was in July, Mass Effect 2 was way before it I think), so why is that so surprising?

On the other hand, KH: BBS released recently & Phantasy Star Portable 2 will be out next week, so their 'prediction' is more like an inference, imo. Ooh, I don't mind being a game analyst. =/

Except I would be more interested in reviewing games rather than analyzing sale statistics, I guess. I don't have enough platforms to make proper comparisons for an all-rounded review anyway. I can't even review P3P because I didn't get to play P3: FES since I don't own a PS2. Lol.

Still, reviewing might be something to consider in the future. Oh, how I love the sarcasm in game reviews.

Oh well. Still waiting. I've set my sights on Fable 3. Although its release date is more than a month away (and it'll be when school re-opens too), lol nooooo! At least PSP2 is coming out next week, and I have a few dates with my girlfriends. XD

I'm so tempted to do my Christmas wishlist now, LOL.

Kalafina piano songbook! (intermediate to high)

Kalafina piano sheets (intermediate - high) [cpm.net link]
Price: 1,890 yen ( tax included) [how much is that in $?!]
Release: 4 October 2010

Songlist
I'm so tempted to get this songbook. =/

BUT I would probably end up learning only Kagayaku. The other songs don't seem like they'll sound nice on the piano, though I might be mistaken, lol. Was never a good judge of this.

What I do believe is that Kagayaku will sound reaaaalllyyyy haunting on the piano. Lol. Hmmm... oh wait. Seventh Heaven might be decent on the piano too, but it'd lose a bit of expression though. And Lacrimosa might be interesting to listen to... Progressive wouldn't. It needs drums and a violin! Imo.

But Fairytale might have a different effect... & Aria too. Haru wa Kogane no Yume no Naka would be amazing on the piano, I think <3

So. I'd probably learn Kagayaku, Lacrimosa, Seventh Heaven, Haru wa Kogane no Yume no Naka, Aria & Fairytale. Probably.

Bah how much is 1,980 yen in dollars?!

I hope the bookshop over at Vivo (can't remember its name, but isn't it a HK-based shop?) eventually stocks this. 'Cos if I make up my mind and it's not available for ordering anymore, I will... *mumble mumble*

In the meantime, I can learn Natsu no Ringo's unofficial sheets instead. (: & maybe a few OSTs while I'm at it...

Oh, and how could I forget? "M01" (Kara no Kyoukai op 2) from Kara no Kyoukai movie 2's OST... (why the heck did they give such a horrible name to such a beautiful piece? ;-;)

Fire Study!

Well.

All I can say is, I should've picked up this series sooner. I made a really big effort to grab the books before they disappeared (from past experience - I never got to read The Rainbow Opera because I hesitated when it was still in stock! Damn!), but the whole trilogy costs me a frickin' 60 bucks (bestselling stories & their prices ;-;), so I ditched the 2nd book & got the first and last instead.

Even if I don't have a middle, I have the beginning & the end, LOL. Good enough for me.

But, as I usually do, I read the last book first since I cannot read the first book first (doing so just bores me, I don't know why, LOL.). And also I was oh-so-interested in knowing exactly what Yelena did with Opal. =_="

That said, I think books bleed my money faster than Opal can siphon magic from a magician with her deadly glass orbs. Once they succeed in making me obsess over a character, that is. Just look at WL. It's a pain waiting for Darkest Mercy and I still have a good many months to go (KAR MEN!! Weep with me LOL)

I love Moon Man. He and Yelena make for most entertaining camp fights. It's a pity, the way his life turned out... but he still made me snort, up till his last moment with Yelena. @_@ I think I'll write a tribute to him someday. When I actually have an idea of what to write.

And Valek wasn't bad. Surprise, surprise. It's one of those books where the characters succeed in not being annoying, lol. Yelena wasn't as annoying as Opal. They share a few traits, most notably the sarcasm, but Yelena lacks Opal's recklessness. So it wasn't a pain to keep reading (I swear, I was cursing away at Opal's stupidity - or naivety, I guess - by the time I finished half of Sea Glass).

And okay, I have to stop rambling. My newest idea kinda flopped after I looked it through, so I guess I'll leave it in the dumps for future reference.

Lastly, I was surprised to find out that the concept of magic in Ixia and Sitia is very, very, very similar to my concept of magic for hml ca10, LOL. It's just too bad she published her books first. :3 Kidding. Lol. I'll just keep my fingers crossed & hope I'll come up with something publishable someday. ~.~

Non-school stuff is always more fun @_@

Did I say I wasn't going to write a single word during holiday?

I retract that statement now (LOL I knew I'd do that sooner or later...).

I was thinking about my hml ca10 (& wondering whether it'd be ok) when an idea just suddenly whacked me in the face. And I thought, damn, if it'd come five months earlier I could've used this for my CA instead!

Well, it kind of underwent a number of changes when I translated the idea from thought to words on a document, but the way I see it, it seems to have potential. It's a combination of what I've recently read and what I wrote for CA. I think I should reread the Quicksilver trilogy. That was the foundation for both ideas after all. @_@

Now to work on the plot...

*continues weeping in corner*

Yuki Kajiura live 2008.07.31 - Everlasting Song

THIS IS THEIR FRICKIN' LIVE. IT'S NOT EVEN A FRICKIN' STUDIO RECORDING.

AND IT SOUNDS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE FRICKIN' STUDIO RECORDING.

*respects & admires*

FictionJunction, Kalafina - well, Yuki Kajiura too - are so damn amazing in singing (they've passed the biggest hurdle for singers - live performances - with flying colours! How many singers can safely say that?), but they're hardly known outside of Asia! Well, even in SG they're virtually unheard of... Kalafina, at least. =_=

*weeps in corner*

Anyway. There's been much hype about something lately, and I find that the more people talk about it, the more I feel disinterested in the whole thing. Even now that it's over, people are still talking about it, minor things related to it is still happening, and it kind of annoys me now, this "flock mentality" thing =/ I have no doubt the story is good, but seriously? It's over & you're still happily yapping away about it?

... All the hype probably annoys only me. =_=" It's for this reason that I didn't watch Avatar, or Glee, or even read Twilight. All the hype. It totally kills my interest. I mean, popularity is good, but when it becomes incredibly widespread, like Twilight, or that thing, I just automatically switch off.

And so, I'm really annoyed =/ But it's still just me =/

Oh well.

DIE, FATA MORGANA!

I swear, I'm not going to write a single word once holiday starts (LOL fat chance. I guess I'll still be blogging, fbing, tweeting & nonsense). Well, at least, not a proper story anyhow. I'm gonna take a break from writing & let my brain recover its creativity for a new term. Heck, towards the final CA I was already making use of cliches, something I didn't let myself do when writing stories was still a hobby! Wowee!

I'm just gonna photocopy (LOL I hope it's mindless ok) & play the games that are coming out in Sept.

Oh, and how can I forget? Nosebleed over the new Kalafina album! :D I seriously hope they include some of their lives in the DVD. But somehow I doubt it, given that Red Moon had only 4 lives & the whole album cost about 40 bucks already. Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa is about half that price.

So probably no lives, I guess. :(

Well, I guess there's no harm in hoping though. LOL.

I can't wait for the Red Moon live DVDs. If they're not too expensive (I suspect they'll be, sadly) I want 'em! I want to see their Red Moon live. :( It didn't sound like there were only 3 singers in the actual song :(

... That aside. I'm kinda pissed with Persona 2: Eternal Punishment now. After converting the file into a playable eboot.php using PSX2PSP v.1.3, and using popsloader 4.01, it ran perfectly...

... Until the Joker Ulala boss fight.

Which was the same spot that the game crashed, the last time I tried it. And apparently, not everyone encounters this error. When Joker Ulala uses that cursed skill Fata Morgana, EP crashes almost immediately. And the only way to solve it is by luck, it seems.

Apparently if you keep trying, there will come a time when Joker Ulala doesn't use her damned Fata Morgana during the battle at all, which allows you to complete the fight.

But good heavens no, I don't want to keep fighting the idiot woman until she finally doesn't use Fata Morgana. Wuarg!

I don't have a choice, though. If I wanna know the story, I gotta keep fighting the idiot woman until she doesn't use that frickin' spell. Jesus, a little help here please? D: I know EP isn't exactly edifying, given all the insinuations and opinions of life, but I just want to know the story! D:

Almost halfway into the book, and I'm still not liking Opal in Sea Glass by the way (she's too reckless! Either that or she's just really unlucky), but I really, really like Yelena. Rational, calm and powerful. I like her personality a lot. I think I'll read Poison Study, Fire Study & Magic Study soon, even though Poison Study's first chapter kind of turned me off...

I like the name Yelena too. It's supposedly Portugese, and it means "light". And yes, that link was to a site for naming babies. Don't flip. I've been using that to find character names, LOL. In a way, characters are babies too, and their names can't just be pulled out of thin air. Maybe I'll name one of my new characters that.

... I have a feeling I'll be obsessing over the name Yelena for a while. Before Yelena, it was Mariko, and before Mariko, it was Edyth, and before Edyth... yeh you get the point. @_@
